XEN LogoComplete Xen virtualization or Hardware-assisted virtualization (HVM) creates virtual system via the extension of the CPU. Emulating PC hardware happens through Quemu, therefore it is possible to emulate BIOS, IDE disk controller, CGA graphic adapters USB and network controllers. As the system does not need any Kernel support, we can emulate both Linux and Windows based systems.

Efficiency of HVM systems can be further enhanced with the use of PVHVM drivers which are drivers optimized for HVM environments and can ensure optimum performance of the operating systems. Systems running on paravirtualization (PV) use these drivers automatically in Xen-based virtualization, performance optimization therefore takes place automatically.
